Discretionary Portfolio Management Service for Charitable Trusts

Safeguarding the future of the causes you champion.

JUMP TO:

Managing a charitable trust’s investments means balancing two priorities - protecting its legacy and creating the growth needed for future impact.

At Drumnor Investments, we take on the responsibility of managing your portfolio day-to-day, so trustees can focus on governance, compliance and delivering on charitable objectives.

Our role is to ensure your trust’s assets are invested in a way that supports your long-term goals, meets regulatory responsibilities, and reflects your agreed investment policy, without the burden of making daily investment decisions.

What is Discretionary Portfolio Management?

Our bespoke discretionary portfolio management service allows us to manage your trust’s investments within an agreed strategy which is tailored specifically to your purpose, timescales and risk preferences.

You’ll be assigned a dedicated Client Investment Manager, who will use their experience in managing portfolios for charitable organisations to offer you relevant market insight and access to a wide range of suitable investment opportunities. Once your portfolio is in place, we take responsibility for selecting, monitoring and adjusting holdings as needed, without requiring constant trustee approval.

This approach ensures your trust’s assets are actively managed with care, discipline, and a focus on delivering the returns needed to support your charitable mission.

How We Invest

A calm and considered approach.

Managing charitable funds carries a responsibility that goes beyond performance - it’s about safeguarding assets so they can support your mission for years to come. Our role is to ensure those funds are managed with care, discipline, and the long view in mind.

We combine in-house expertise with respected external research to identify quality investments across a wide range of asset types; including equities, fixed income, alternatives, and infrastructure. This variety allows us to build a portfolio that reflects your trust’s purpose, responsibilities and investment policy.

We’re always aware that every decision we make is on behalf of an incredible cause. Our focus is on protecting and growing the assets entrusted to your organisation, in line with your objectives and governance requirements.

Strategic Asset Allocation

A well-constructed long-term allocation provides the foundation for your portfolio. While it should remain steady over many years, we make careful adjustments when market conditions or risks change within your agreed parameters.

Stock Selection

Selecting the right investments is about more than returns, it’s about meeting the trust’s needs for growth, income or capital preservation. We apply disciplined research and oversight to ensure every holding supports your objectives.

Diversification

Effective investment management means spreading risk across different asset types. Diversification helps to reduce volatility, improve long-term results, and gives trustees the reassurance that the portfolio can weather market changes while supporting ongoing commitments.
