Our team
Our story
Drumnor Investments began in Dundee as the discretionary investment arm of Thorntons Law, one of Scotland’s largest independent law firms.
As demand for specialist investment management services grew, we separated from the law firm in 2014, establishing an independent company. Formerly known as Thorntons Investments, we focused on delivering bespoke, professional portfolio management for a growing client base across the UK.
Over time, we’ve grown to support advisers nationwide through introducing our AIM portfolios in 2006 and making them available through third-party platforms in 2017 to launching our Model Portfolio Service (MPS) to provide scalable, risk-rated solutions for consistent, professional investment management.
In 2025, we became Drumnor Investments, a new name and brand that reflects our independence and celebrates our Scottish heritage, and reaffirms our commitment to delivering tailored, high-quality investment solutions for our clients.
Today, we continue to partner with financial advisers, private clients, and charities across the UK to build well-diversified portfolios that balance performance with long-term security. Through clear communication and strong relationships, we help clients achieve their financial goals with confidence.

Our Commitment to Sustainability
At Drumnor, we recognise the need to do more to reduce our carbon footprint and are exploring ways to lower emissions and promote sustainability in the workplace.
As part of this commitment, we support global climate action through Ecologi, making regular contributions on behalf of our employees to help fund projects that reduce carbon emissions and restore natural ecosystems.
Working with Eden Reforestation Projects, trees are being planted in Madagascar, Mozambique, and Nicaragua. This is helping to restore habitats, create local employment, and reduce poverty. We also contribute to wider climate initiatives, including renewable energy generation, forest protection, and community projects such as improving access to clean water.
